​Now that we've had a chance to settle in, I'm excited to have a new work-in-progress on the easel! Here's a little sneak peek:
You might recognize this ship from another work of mine. I have a 10" model of the German training ship Gorch Fock that made an appearance in my 2021 charcoal drawing The Eternal Garden. It's so charming, I've decided to use it again in my next work! Now that it's drawn in, I'm looking forward to painting again.

I'm excited to have had some recent success in a few painting competitions this month! 

"Spellbound", was selected as part of the FAV15% (jury's favorite 15% of the entries) in the July 2022 BoldBrush Painting competition, and "The Journeyman" has been chosen as a Finalist in the first edition of the International FiKVA Award

I have some exciting news to share!​
Rachel and I moved to the Dominican Republic, where I will serve as the Dean of the Àni Art Academies Dominicana! I’m so grateful for this incredible opportunity. We haven't had much chance to explore yet, but it’s a beautiful country. I’m enjoying getting to know the apprentices and staff, and slowly getting used to the heat.
