Dawn on the Shores of Creation is the visual culmination of the artist’s creative philosophy. Using the visual language of several cultures, religions, and spiritual groups, this painting connects a broad spectrum of allusions to explore the purpose of our creation and what it means to create.
From the striding great herons, to the lapping ocean’s horizon, to the 10 arms bearing tools of creation- each element emanates outward from the glowing point in the center, as if the entire scene were birthed in a moment of creation, a big bang, the exposing of the artist’s soul.
Notably, the comet and the constellations are an accurate recreation of the night sky when the artist observed Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS),while living on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.
